Membership Requirements
Companies seeking membership with the APR need to fit in one of two categories:

Full Members

Full Membership shall be open, with final approval from the Board of Directors, to any profit or not-for-profit corporation, partnership, or sole proprietorship that is actively engaged in North America as an operation in the business of reprocessing postconsumer plastic material by first purchasing postconsumer plastic material and preparing it for end use by two or more of these additional processes – grinding, washing, pelletizing, conduxing, densifying, or chemically or mechanically upgrading the materials to be used or sold to an end-use market.  An operation that solely sorts and bales materials to be sold to another company for reprocessing is considered, by APR, to be an intermediate processor and therefore is not eligible for Full Membership.  Full members shall pay annual dues to APR in the amount set and in a manner approved by the Board of Directors.  A member shall be considered in good standing when its dues are paid on time.

Affiliate Members

Affiliate Membership shall be open, with final approval from the Board of Directors, to any profit or not-for-profit corporation, partnership or sole proprietorship that does not qualify for Full Membership and that has a direct business stake in the recycling of postconsumer plastics.   Affiliate Members shall pay annual dues to the APR in the amount set and in a manner approved by the Board of Directors.  A member shall be considered in good standing when its dues are paid on time.

Parties solely in the business of brokering plastic material for recycling are not eligible for APR Membership.
