Awards

The APR has crafted an awards program to promote and publicize packaging improvements designed to be compatible with current plastic recycling processes. APR also wants to recognize efforts by packaging companies to understand the recycling consequences of their design and manufacturing decisions.

The APR PARTNER FOR CHANGE AWARD recognizes participation in the Champions for Change program with an award. The award is not an endorsement, but rather recognition of the willingness of the innovator to work with APR to better understand the consequences of the intended innovation on plastic bottle recycling.

The APR DESIGN FOR RECYCLABILITY AWARD is granted for new and existing packaging that is constructed or modified to offer enhanced recycling compatibility. The granting of the award is promoted by APR. Recipient(s) will receive professional recognition of their achievement by APR.
